Sleepless...

Note to self: Don't panic...
When you set something in motion, you make it happen.

Couldn't leave all this on the grass (did you see what I did there)?!

Given up on 30 Days Wild!

First my camera gave up the ghost, then we had lots of rain and I was stuck indoors and am now in Amsterdam... so I've given up on the 30 Days Wild... I shall resume my Blog with something else soon!!!

Today...

Well I still have no real good photos for my 30 Days Wild blog except this duckette on the moat at Bolingbroke Castle... sorry not a duck person so not sure of the breed...!
I DID startle a Red Kite - he was in a hedge about 4 5 meters from where I was walking - no photo - I just gaped at it not believing how close it was..! Then about 200 meters along the path, at the brook I startled a water vole - again no photo - he was too fast for me!!!

Pause...!

I bet you'll all been having sleepless nights as to why I haven't posted anything for the past few days, but I'm afraid my photo camera died on me! I'm waiting for a new one to arrive. though I will today resurrect an old, not very good one and pick up the pieces...
I'm also doing a long walk today with my bro' in an area I've not walked before, so shall hopefully takes lots of pics for 30 Days Wild and catch up! Carpe Diem!

30 Days Wild. Day 3

I was in most the day today, and when I did go out there was more flora than fauna... the barn owl was not at home... the squirrels in the churchyard yew trees were hiding, the swallows were in too, I really only managed to capture a blackbird at the barn, and my starlings in the back garden... oh and a chocolate and tan lesser spotted stick gatherer...
